The Department of Territori has announced that frequencies will be increased and new services introduced on 13 intercity bus lines across Catalonia as part of the second Mobility Shock Plan. These measures aim to address the rise in public transport users, particularly as rail service levels are not yet considered excellent.
The improvements include two significant enhancements affecting the city of Sabadell. Starting next Monday, line B6 (Sabadell-Barberà-Badia-UAB) will add one service per direction, increasing from eight to nine daily trips. This line will also adjust its schedules between 7 AM and 11 AM to better accommodate student demand and will connect with the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat station at the Autonomous University.
The mayor of Badia, Josep Martínez Valencia, welcomed these improvements, highlighting the new connections they provide to various parts of Vallès Occidental. From October 1st, line C1 (Castellar del Vallès-Sabadell) will reduce its peak hour intervals from ten to eight minutes.
The shock plan also includes increasing the frequency of line A2, which connects Badia with Barcelona and Sabadell (reaching Taulí hospital), and upgrading the vehicle fleet in the coming months. Additionally, starting Tuesday, the new Mobility Office will be located at the bus station on Carrer de l'Estació.
