Around 160 1st-year high school students from the Jaume Mimó and Banús institutes participated last Friday, January 30, in a Physical Conditioning Meeting at the PEM Guiera in Cerdanyola del Vallès.

The activity, organized by the Sports Council of Southern Vallès Occidental and the CAR de Sant Cugat, took place between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The sessions were held in various areas of the Municipal Sports Park Guiera, including the pavilion and the guided activity rooms.
The sessions were prepared and led by 2nd-year students from the Physical Conditioning cycle at CAR de Sant Cugat. The youths participated in a varied circuit that included zumba, body pump, cycling, yoga, full body, and playful forms, according to the Sports Council of Southern Vallès Occidental.
The main objective of the day was to encourage physical activity and the promotion of healthy habits among young people through a practical and participatory experience. Furthermore, the event served to foster coexistence between the educational centers and showcase the municipal sports facilities.
This initiative is part of the Physical Education Teachers' Working Group. As a next activity, on Friday, February 6, 2026, the Club Voleibol Cerdanyola and the Sports Council will organize a Volleyball Meeting for 400 4th-year ESO students at the same PEM Guiera venue.
