The People's Party (PP) spokesperson in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Álvaro Benejam, has confirmed his ambition to become mayor by focusing on local management rather than national political debates.

During an interview with Ràdio Sant Cugat, the councillor addressed the municipal census controversy. Benejam explained that the Sant Cugat City Council has failed to properly update records, leading to inaccurate population data when residents leave the city without deregistering.

"Albiol has his own way of doing things and management characteristics that we admire."

The PP has also called for an extraordinary plenary session to discuss management flaws at the public housing company Promusa. Benejam criticized the long-standing construction defects and the slow pace of repairs in several local communities.
