The incident drew the attention of passersby at the intersection of Francesc Macià Avenue and Torre Street, where the tree was found toppled next to the well-known 'creu trencada'. Municipal services are scheduled to remove the tree throughout this Monday.

Although the area has been cordoned off, the City Council has not yet specified the exact causes of the fall. However, the event occurred after a period of strong winds that affected the locality on Sunday.

This is not the first time a large tree has fallen on this avenue. A similar incident took place last September, highlighting a recurring issue in the area.
