The young artist from Sant Cugat del Vallès, Mauro Pérez, known as Hermes, released his first album, CATHARSIS, in December, presenting it at Bocca Sant Cugat.

The album CATHARSIS, which means “elimination of repressed emotions,” is an intimate collection of the artist’s experiences over the past two years, as explained by Mauro Pérez himself. He noted that the title perfectly summarizes the emotional content of the work.

"It is a very personal album because I have tried to explain everything that has happened to me during these years, at a time when I felt very emotionally repressed."

Hermes · Artist
At just 20 years old, Hermes considers this work a true introduction and a turning point in his career. The artist emphasizes that after witnessing the anticipation generated, music has ceased to be a hobby and has become a professional endeavor.
In addition to the official presentation in Sant Cugat, Hermes has performed in other notable concerts, including a sold-out show at Razzmatazz 3 and a pre listening party at La Nau. Performing in his hometown was particularly symbolic for the artist.

"It was a shot of adrenaline and a confirmation that things were really happening."

Another key moment of the year for Hermes was opening for the Argentinian rapper YSY A at the Sant Jordi Club, performing before 4,000 people. CATHARSIS is now available on major streaming platforms, and the artist is considering a second run of physical copies after the initial 30 limited edition copies sold out quickly.
