Applications for individual school meal aid for students in compulsory education and early childhood education enrolled in educational centers in the Vallès Occidental region can now be processed. This aid, funded by public funds, is granted based on the socioeconomic, geographic, and family conditions of the student, using a scale established annually by the Consell Comarcal del Vallès Occidental.
The official application period is from May 7 to May 28, 2026. Applications submitted after this period will be processed starting September 28, 2026. Provisions are made for applications due to unforeseen vulnerability situations, which will require documented explanation and proof of circumstances.
Processing can be done online via the provided link, or in person by requesting an appointment. Mandatory documentation includes the application form and, depending on the situation, income reports, pensions, or benefits. If there have been no family changes since the previous call, previously submitted documentation does not need to be re-submitted.
Aid can be for 70% or 100%, depending on the family unit's income and social criteria. The amount is applied to the service cost, not exceeding the maximum set by the Departament d'Educació. Applications submitted after the start of the 2025-2026 academic year will be eligible for aid from the registration date, with retroactive effect once favorably resolved.
