During a recent assembly, the leadership transition at the Societat Coral Els Amics de Terrassa was formalized. The new president, who previously served as treasurer, will now lead the group, concluding the tenure of the previous leader.

The group emphasized that the new president assumes this responsibility with great enthusiasm and a firm commitment to continue fostering the growth and visibility of the choir. Among her objectives is the need to secure the collaboration and involvement of all members and supporters to address future challenges.
The year 2027 will be particularly significant for the Societat Coral Els Amics, as it will celebrate its 150th anniversary. The entity is already preparing a program of activities to commemorate this important milestone, which will serve to highlight its long history and its cultural and social relevance in the Terrassa community.
The new president has extensive ties to the popular culture of Terrassa. In addition to her involvement with the board of the Societat Coral Els Amics, she also presides over the Agrupació Folklòrica Amunt i Crits and the Federació Unió de Colles Sardanistes de Catalunya. Furthermore, she is vice-president and master instructor of the Confederació Sardanista de Catalunya, a mace-bearer for the Rotary Club de Terrassa, and a member of the Consell de l’Associacionisme Cultural de la Generalitat de Catalunya. She also serves on the Consell Municipal de la Cultura i les Arts de Terrassa, the Consell de Districte 1 de Terrassa, the Consell d’Adifolk, and the Comissió de la Cultura Popular de l’Ajuntament de Terrassa, and participates with the Trabucaires Bandolers de Terrassa.
