The meeting ratified President Illa's announcement regarding the State's free transfer of the former Civil Guard barracks. These premises, located on Batllevell street, will be used to expand the external consultations of the Parc Taulí University Hospital. The building, vacant for 28 years, will have a constructed area of over 18,876 m², with an estimated renovation investment of 70 million euros.
A three-way agreement has also been formalized between the City Council, INCASÒL, and the Housing Agency of Catalonia to complete the pending urbanization works in the Arraona neighborhood. Blocks formed by Brasil, Argentina, La Palma, and Tenerife streets will be urbanized, with an estimated cost of 3.5 million euros.
The construction of the new Firefighters' Park is being accelerated, with a projected investment of 9.9 million euros. The new plot in the Gràcia neighborhood spans 6,169 m², and the intention is for construction to begin in 2028.
In terms of mobility, the Government's commitment to the B40 has been reiterated, and the resurfacing of the B-124, the road connecting Sabadell with Calders, has been agreed upon. These works are included in the 2027 investment program.
Regarding sports, collaboration will be strengthened to promote the Catalonia Athletics Indoor Track – Carme Valero as a leading facility.
Finally, the future Campus of Life and Health Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) at the former Artèxtil factory will be promoted, with an initial investment of 4 million euros from the UAB and 1 million from the Department of Research and Universities.
