The Club de Rugby Carboners de Terrassa was crowned champions of the Second Catalan Division on Saturday, April 18, after defeating Rinyoles Rugby Club in an exciting match in Ripoll, thus achieving promotion to the top category.

The Terrassa team secured victory with a score of 34-41, culminating a successful season that will allow them to compete in Primera Catalana next year. This achievement comes after a strong performance in the playoffs, where they surprised the favorites.
Qualification for the final was secured the previous week, when the Carboners defeated the Barcelona Lions, league leaders, by 19 to 29. The Barcelona team arrived at the playoffs with a record of nine wins and only one loss, but they could not match the superiority shown by the Terrassa team.
The grand final began with remarkable intensity. During the first half, Rinyoles Rugby Club dominated the game and went into halftime with a lead. However, the Carboners reacted strongly in the second half, turning the score around and securing a final victory of 34-41.

"This victory was achieved by suffering, fighting, and never giving up. Any result would have been fair, but the cup belongs to the Carboners."
