The establishment, which began its journey in 1933 under Antonio Caparrós, the current owner's grandfather, started as a wine cellar. After a period dedicated to transporting goods by truck, the family focused on home wine delivery and supplying restaurants, distributing around 2,000 liters weekly.
Antonio Caparrós settled in Terrassa from Almería, purchasing the house where the shop still stands today. The business and the family have grown together over the decades. The second generation, with Ana Maria Caparrós and her husband Joan Giménez, began introducing food products, gradually transforming the premises into a small supermarket.
A significant renovation in 1992 allowed for a considerable expansion of space and product offerings, acquiring adjacent houses. Despite the transformation, the essence of the original wine cellar remains, with wine barrels and casks still visible.
Joan Ramon Giménez, the third generation, who has worked at the business for forty years, emphasizes that the working methods and personal customer service are key to competing with large supermarkets. Customer loyalty from regular neighbors and personalized advice are its main strengths.
