This new league will consist of the top four teams from each group of the current Catalan First Division. The federation aims to boost competitive standards and create a high-demand format that appeals to both athletes and fans across Catalonia.
“"The creation of this category responds to the need to provide Catalan hockey with its own elite competition."
Terrassa will be a key player in this new era, with nine local teams eligible for the league, including squads from Atlètic Terrassa, Club Egara, CD Terrassa, and Línia 22. However, clubs are restricted to a maximum of two teams in the division.
The season will culminate in a Final Four on May 17, 2026. For the first time, the competition will include economic prizes for the champions, and starting in 2026-2027, all draws will be decided by shoot-outs.
