The Department of Business and Work of the Generalitat de Catalunya has officially announced the work calendar for 2027, which includes twelve general public holidays for the entire Catalan territory.

In addition to these twelve national holidays, each municipality will add two more local holidays. In Sabadell, the City Council plans to maintain the tradition of designating the Monday after the second Sunday of May, coinciding with the Aplec de la Salut (which in 2027 will be May 10), and the Monday of the Festa Major, celebrated after the first Friday of September (September 6).
These two local holidays in Sabadell, although customary, will need to be formally ratified by the municipal plenary session during June or July of 2026. Regarding other significant dates, Easter Week in 2027 will run from March 21 to 29, while Sabadell's Festa Major will take place from September 3 to 6.

Catalonia's 2027 work calendar establishes twelve general public holidays, to which each municipality will add two local festive days.

The official public holidays for all of Catalonia during 2027 are as follows:
  • Friday, January 1: New Year's Day
  • Wednesday, January 6: Epiphany
  • Friday, March 26: Good Friday
  • Monday, March 29: Easter Monday
  • Saturday, May 1: Labor Day
  • Thursday, June 24: Saint John's Day
  • Saturday, September 11: National Day of Catalonia
  • Tuesday, October 12: Hispanic Day
  • Monday, November 1: All Saints' Day
  • Monday, December 6: Constitution Day
  • Wednesday, December 8: Immaculate Conception
  • Saturday, December 25: Christmas Day
It should be noted that August 15 (Assumption) and December 26 (Saint Stephen's Day) fall on a Sunday in 2027, and therefore are not considered additional public holidays in this calendar.
