The natural landscape of Terrassa has seen the return of the Caus del Guitard springs this March 2026, flowing for the second year in a row due to intense seasonal rainfall.

This hydrological phenomenon, located within the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac Natural Park, was spotted by local enthusiast Narcís Serrat. The reactivation follows the wettest winter in half a century, with over 300 liters of rain per square meter recorded in the area.

"I monitor the Barboleta, the Saiola, and the Rellinars stream daily... I was calculating that the Caus would have to flow sooner or later."

The water emerges from the Xoriguera torrent aquifers, creating a waterfall that eventually joins the Llobregat river. This event typically requires at least 200 liters of rain within a month to trigger the underground overflow.
