The Cobla Jovenívola of Sabadell celebrated its fiftieth anniversary on Saturday, May 2, with an emotional day that brought together various generations of musicians and sardana dancers in Doctor Robert Square.

Doctor Robert Square in Sabadell was packed to host the commemoration of the Cobla Jovenívola's fifty years. The event featured a "megacobla" composed of over forty performers, including current and former members of the group, in an act that blended tradition and emotion.

"It has been a day with many emotions and we are very happy because many people accompanied us. The square was full of sardana dancers, performers, representatives of the groups, and also former musicians of the Jovenívola who joined us to play."

One of the most anticipated moments of the celebration was the premiere of Tempus fugit, a sardana specially created for the occasion by a former member of the formation. This new piece was very well received by the attending public, adding a distinctive touch to the festive day.
The commemoration went beyond the musical performance. After the dance, the celebration continued with a fraternity lunch at the Hotel Urpí, which gathered over a hundred people, solidifying the reunion aspect of the anniversary.
This fiftieth anniversary was not only a celebration but also a vindication of the cobla's trajectory and legacy. The organizers emphasized the honor of reaching this milestone, acknowledging the work of many individuals who have contributed to the project since its inception, including the original founders.

"To reach this point in good health, the cobla continues to have a lot of work and maintains its level, for us it is a source of pride and also a duty."
