The Civil Guard and the Local Police of Terrassa have dismantled a network involved in the sale of counterfeit products in an operation that resulted in the seizure of 2,345 items and the arrest of three people.

The operation, codenamed "Prembambas", has led to the arrest of three individuals and the investigation of three others. The value of the seized products is estimated at 2,314,625 euros, in addition to over 12,000 euros in cash. The police intervention took place on May 20th.
The investigation, which addresses alleged crimes against industrial property, membership in a criminal group, and money laundering, began following neighborhood complaints about suspicious activity at a residence. Police inquiries confirmed the regular unloading of boxes and street sales, prompting five simultaneous searches of homes, storage units, and vehicles.
Confiscated items include 1,099 pairs of sneakers, 70 handbags, 227 pairs of glasses, 53 clothing items, six watches, 18 sports insoles, one wallet, 57 pairs of socks, and 800 badges from various brands. Five mobile phones, four laptops, a pellet gun, and material for assembling counterfeit products were also seized.
The inspected vehicles, found with allegedly counterfeit material, were transferred to a municipal depot in Barberà del Vallès. One of the owners was fined for parking a vehicle without mandatory insurance.
The Deputy Mayor for Security in Terrassa, Xavier Cardona, highlighted that the operation demonstrates the city's commitment to safety and legality, assuring that criminal activities will continue to be combated.
The operation was led by the Civil Guard post in Premià de Mar, with support from the USECIC and the K9 Unit. The Local Police of Terrassa collaborated in the searches and traffic regulation.
The three detainees have been brought before the Court of Instruction number 4 of Terrassa, which continues with the investigation.
