The political group Crida per Sabadell has expressed its support for the Culture Center project at Casa Grau in Sabadell, while maintaining reservations about its management and funding, as announced this Monday.

The municipal group celebrates that Casa Grau will remain under municipal ownership, despite the collaboration with the Fundació Banc Sabadell, which will contribute five million euros to make the project possible. The group highlights that their persistence in requesting explanations has had a partial impact on the current configuration of the initiative.

"It has been shown that our insistence and withdrawn opposition, demanding explanations for the project, has, in certain aspects and partially, come to fruition."

Nevertheless, Crida maintains “reasonable doubts” about the initiative. While they welcome the agreement being a donation rather than a concession, their representatives have expressed concern about who will be responsible for the building's maintenance and staff management. They seek details on the management model, the role of each party involved, the possibility of making contributions through allegations, and whether there will be any quid pro quo for the donation.
Additionally, Crida per Sabadell has announced that it will present a motion at this month's April plenary session to demand the creation of three covered public spaces in the city. The objective is to provide alternative venues for events in case of bad weather, thus preventing the cancellation of activities. The proposal does not specify concrete locations but aims for the city council to identify the most suitable sites, with the intention of having at least one space in the south, one in the center, and one in the north of the city.
