Crime rates drop by 9.7% in Sant Cugat in 2025

Overall criminality decreases in the city despite a slight rise in residential burglaries and sexual assaults.

The city of Sant Cugat del Vallès recorded a 9.7% decrease in overall crime during 2025, according to data presented by Mayor Josep Maria Vallès this week.

Total reported crimes fell from 3,987 in 2024 to 3,599 last year. Authorities highlighted the improved coordination between police forces, which has led to a 4.79% increase in the crime resolution rate.
However, the report shows a 5.56% increase in home burglaries, with 162 incidents in the city center. Additionally, sexual assaults rose from 18 to 23 cases, representing a 27.78% increase, while domestic violence reports saw a significant drop of over 20%.
