The fountain designated for dogs in Sabadell's Parc de Catalunya has resumed operation, after several residents reported it had been out of service for over a week, especially amidst high temperatures.

The situation had caused concern among park users, as the lack of a specific hydration point for animals could lead to tensions with children's fountains. Some owners were forced to use the latter to give water to their pets, a practice not always well-received by other families.

"At 25ºC, a dog cannot stay in the park for long without drinking. If the specific fountain doesn't work, it forces you to leave or take it to the children's fountains, with all that implies."

This regular park user emphasized the importance of proper maintenance of these facilities, considering it a key element for coexistence and animal welfare. The main demand was for immediate repair and a more agile maintenance system to prevent future interruptions.
After forwarding the complaint to the Sabadell City Council, municipal sources confirmed that the fountain is now operational. According to the local administration, the shutdown was "temporary" and was due to the use of water from the area for watering recently planted trees in the new urban forest, and not a malfunction. The City Council has assured that the fountain will maintain its usual operation.
