The traditional Correfoc of Sant Cugat del Vallès's Festa Major gathered hundreds in the town center streets, featuring a pyrotechnic show and subsequent satirical verses.

Fire, gunpowder, and the sound of drums were the protagonists of the Festa Major in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The Diables de Sant Cugat celebrated the traditional Correfoc, one of the most anticipated events, which drew hundreds of people through the city center streets.
The local group was joined by the Diables of Sant Joan Despí, Diables of Cubelles, Diables of la Creu Alta de Sabadell, and Tro de Falguera of Sant Feliu de Llobregat. The five groups filled the streets with fire using their firecrackers and figures, offering a spectacle that captivated both participants and spectators.
The Correfoc began in Plaça d'Octavià and unfolded in two routes through the city center streets, with the same starting and ending point. The devils advanced to the rhythm of the drums, igniting firecrackers and creating a true corridor of fire. Hundreds of people, protected by cotton clothing, followed the parade, keeping alive a deep-rooted tradition of Catalan popular culture.
The music of the drums, the smell of gunpowder, and the sparks created the characteristic atmosphere of the Correfoc, which has become one of the most followed events of the Festa Major. The combination of invited groups and the Diables de Sant Cugat once again delivered a high-intensity spectacle.
After the routes, the Diables de Sant Cugat presented their traditional versots, satirically reviewing local, Catalan, and international current affairs, with a special focus on the municipal government.
One of the main targets was the City Council's management, with ironic commentary on the municipal registry controversy and the registered departures. They also criticized the new waste collection system and the disappearance of underground containers.
Popular culture also played a significant role in the versots, lamenting the difficulties entities face in accessing spaces and resources, and reproaching the municipal government for its lack of support for the associative fabric.
In local politics, the verses also targeted the mayor, Josep Maria Vallès, and included jokes about Bernat Picornell and political candidacies. Sant Cugat's recent events were also mentioned, referencing the closure of Collserola and a branch falling from the Pi d'en Xandri.
The versots extended beyond the local scope to address Catalan and international politics, criticizing Rodalies train delays, the Generalitat's management of education and health, and referencing international leaders such as Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Vladímir Putin, as well as Sílvia Orriols.
