The initiative, which sought to highlight historical heritage and address service needs in the area, received support from several municipal groups but failed to reach the necessary majority. During the session, different views were presented regarding the project's viability and the current state of the building.
Groups that voted against or abstained argued for the need to have prior technical reports on the cost of rehabilitation and the actual state of the structure. Meanwhile, the municipal government indicated that the space could have other strategic purposes, such as expanding health services due to its proximity to the CAP Can Llong.
The plenary session experienced moments of tension, including a temporary interruption caused by the reading of a manifesto by citizens in the audience, who demanded more investment in facilities and the protection of local heritage.
