The plenary session, scheduled for 9:30 AM, will include debates relevant to the city. Among the highlighted points are the vote on the economic conditions for the management of the public urban bus service for the year 2026, as well as the economic settlement for the 2025 fiscal year of the contract with the municipal company Tmesa. These decisions are crucial for strengthening public transport, which includes the incorporation of new buses, punctuality improvements, and the renewal of eleven vehicles.
Another central topic will be the presentation and approval of the pact for Universal Accessibility in Terrassa. This strategic document, resulting from the collaboration between the City Council and disability sector entities, aims to define the necessary actions to eliminate architectural barriers and update the previous agreements from 2012.
The agenda also includes the transfer of properties to Habitatge Terrassa to promote the construction of affordable housing in areas such as Sala Badrinas, Roc Blanc, or the carretera de Rubí. Furthermore, a modification of the urban planning will be initiated to replace the pneumatic waste collection system. The strategy for the retirement of municipal labor personnel will also be addressed. In the citizen interventions section, the entity Somos Barrio will participate to advocate for the right to housing.
Regarding motions, the municipal groups will debate five proposals. The PSC and ERC will present initiatives for the air conditioning of schools. ERC will also request the installation of water fountains in public squares, while the PSC will propose a maintenance plan for drains ahead of the rainy season. The PP will suggest improving the use of security cameras, and Vox will defend a proposal concerning municipal swimming pools. Finally, before the questions and inquiries, urgent processing will be discussed to ensure safety along the route of the gallery crossing Josep Trueta street.
