Utility giant Endesa has agreed to upgrade the electrical infrastructure in Vacarisses following a meeting with local authorities to address persistent power supply issues in the Vallès Occidental municipality.

The commitment follows a report by the Vacarisses Town Council documenting 80 formal complaints from residents in Els Caus and Can Serra. Neighbors have reported being unable to use basic appliances or heating systems due to insufficient electrical voltage.

"The current line is not correctly sized for the existing level of consumption."

Planned works include reinforcing the grid in Els Caus within three months and installing a new transformer in Can Serra. Endesa also noted that illegal connections to the grid have contributed to the instability of the local power supply.
