The Esbart Dansaire de Rubí has commenced preparations for the 43rd Ballada de Gitanes al Carrer, to be held during the Festa Major, achieving a new record for registered dance groups.

Rehearsals for this large-scale dance event will begin next Monday, April 13, at Espona. For the first four weeks, sessions will be exclusively for individuals new to the Gitanes dance, aiming to provide more personalized guidance to new dancers.
From May 11, rehearsals will move to the courtyard of the Escola Regina Carmeli, maintaining the same schedule. The Esbart Dansaire emphasizes the importance of maximum participation from all groups to facilitate organization and placement. The final two rehearsals, scheduled for June 8 and June 15, will be mandatory for all groups and will take place at the Pavelló Esportiu La Llana, although the exact times are yet to be confirmed.
In parallel, the Esbart is also finalizing details for the Aplec dels Xatos, which this year celebrates its 40th edition since its revival in 1986. This gathering will take place on Sunday, May 24, coinciding with Segona Pasqua. The main novelty of this edition is the return of the popular rice feast, an activity that had been discontinued years ago, and which will complement various activities involving popular culture entities from Rubí.
Throughout April, the Esbart Dansaire School will also have a busy agenda, participating in the Trobada de l'Esbart Mediterrània de Sant Cugat del Vallès on April 11. Additionally, it will collaborate with Rubí's Earth Day on April 18 and will bring dance to the city's schools in celebration of International Dance Day, observed on April 29.
