The educational community at Taula Rodona school in Sant Quirze del Vallès mobilized this Wednesday against the Department of Education's plan to reduce class lines for the next academic year, particularly affecting I3 groups.

Around a hundred people, including parents and teachers, gathered outside the school to express their discontent over the potential loss of one of the two I3 classes. Waving banners, blowing whistles, and banging pots, they aimed to show they are "a united community, involved and ready to defend the future of the children," according to the organizers.
The protest march proceeded towards the roundabout at the gas station, crossing the C-58 bridge, to amplify their message. Demonstrators warn that reducing lines today could lead to "fewer resources for the school, less stability in the educational project, fewer families and less community," as well as a reduction in activities and opportunities in the long run.
The school's Parents' Association (AFA) urges the Department of Education to reconsider its decision and maintain the two classes for the youngest children. Department sources recently advised caution, suggesting it's best to await final decisions, though the situation is causing uncertainty within the Vallès educational community.
