The management of Ficosa and the unions have reached a preliminary agreement to reduce the employment regulation file (ERE) at the Viladecavalls plant, setting the number of affected individuals at 105 people, 67 fewer than the initially planned 172.

The agreement, which includes measures to minimize the industrial impact, was communicated by the CCOO de Catalunya union. The final proposal must be validated by the workforce in a referendum scheduled for this Friday.
Company departures will be exclusively through voluntary resignations. Once the text is ratified, a period until June 19th will open for interested workers to join the disengagement process. These departures will be implemented progressively in four blocks, with the first in mid-July and the last scheduled for March 31, 2027.
A maximum compensation of 100,000 euros has been agreed upon. Employees under 50 years old will receive 33 days per year worked with a maximum of 24 monthly payments, plus a lump-sum supplement of 12,000 euros and 2,000 for voluntariness. For workers between 50 and 55 years old, the lump-sum supplement is reduced to 6,000 euros. Those aged 56 to 59 will receive 33 days per year with a maximum of 24 monthly payments; those aged 60 to 62, 30 days with a maximum of 18 monthly payments; and those over 63, 20 days with a limit of 12 monthly payments.
The document also includes a three-year return clause, giving affected employees priority for stable vacancies if new non-temporary positions are created. Additionally, a temporary ERE will be applied to 38 people in the engineering area from September 2026 to June 2027, with a maximum of two days per month per person, without affecting holidays or extra pay.
