The Sabadell City Council has finalized the installation of a protective fence along the train tracks in the Can Llong neighborhood, a measure highly requested by residents to increase safety.

The new fence, which completely surrounds the railway line, primarily aims to prevent pedestrian access to the tracks. This action responds to repeated requests from neighborhood residents, particularly due to the proximity of a sensitive point to the Escola de Can Llong and the Institut Arraona.
According to the council, the installation was carried out on both sides of the railway line. The affected section spans from Budapest street to Lisbon square, and from there to the C-58C. The works, which began last March, covered a total distance of 1,241 meters.
The total investment for this project amounted to nearly 580,000 euros, a figure that underscores the importance of safety for the local administration and its citizens.
