Minister Sílvia Paneque has formally asked municipalities with Low Emission Zones (ZBE), such as Terrassa, to reinstate traffic restrictions following the end of exceptional mobility measures.

The restrictions were temporarily suspended on January 20 due to a major train accident in Gelida that affected regional mobility. With the railway service now significantly recovered and bus services reinforced, the Government believes it is time to return to the standard regulations.

"LEZs are an instrument to guarantee air quality directly linked to health."

Local councils in the Vallès Occidental region will now decide on the specific timeline to resume these mandatory limitations, aiming for a more sustainable and healthy urban mobility model.
