Former Esquerra Republicana presidential candidate Helena Solà announced her resignation from the party this March 1st after 21 years of membership, citing disagreements with the current political direction.

Solà's decision follows a period of reflection in which she openly criticized the loss of the party's national profile. Through her social media channels, she stated that the project has become blurred to the point of being subordinated to priorities other than ERC's founding principles.

"The national axis has been blurred to the point that it seems subordinated to other priorities."
