Horacio Tamburini, prominent doctor and human rights activist, dies in Terrassa

The physician and social activist Horacio Tamburini Podlesker passed away this Friday in Terrassa at the age of 77, following a long illness and a lifetime of public service.

During his career, Tamburini managed the Hospital de Sant Llàtzer in Terrassa and founded the Argentine Workers' Center in Barcelona. He was also the president of the Casa de Solidaritat, where he led humanitarian projects in Latin America and Africa.
He played a significant role in international justice, helping to draft the genocide lawsuit against the Argentine dictatorship presented to Judge Baltasar Garzón. His funeral service is scheduled for Saturday morning at the Terrassa Municipal Funeral Home.
