The fire originated around 2:00 PM in a crop field and spread rapidly towards the southern slope of a nearby hill. The Generalitat Fire Department has deployed an emergency operation consisting of 120 personnel, 33 ground vehicles, five helicopters, and six planes to attempt to stabilize the flames.
Given the evolution of the fire, confinement has been ordered for residents of the urbanizations El Farell, Can Gurri, Sant Sebastià de Montmajor, El Balcó de Sant Llorenç, Sant Feliu del Racó, and Can Vinyals, as well as the northern part of the municipality of Castellar del Vallès. To ensure safety in these areas, three additional water trucks have been deployed.
