The Junior FC field hockey teams have discovered their opponents for the Copa del Rey and Copa de la Reina, set to take place in Sant Cugat from April 24 to 26, coinciding with the club's hockey section centenary.
The draw, held on January 23 at the Claustre del Monestir, paired the Junior FC women's team against Club de Campo in the quarter-finals. Coach Guille Carnicer noted that while Club de Campo is a tough rival, Junior FC defeated them 1-0 earlier this season in the Honor Division. The women's team aims for their third title, having previously won in the 1987/88 and 2020/21 seasons.

"Given the rival's standing, it is preferable to avoid them, but if we want to lift the cup, sooner or later we will end up meeting them. We have the precedent from the Honor Division where we competed very well against them and won, so we aim to play the same match."
The men's team faces Sanse Complutense, a team that previously defeated them 2-4 at home this season. Men's coach Oriol Torras expressed a strong desire for “revenge” and emphasized the importance of the home advantage, as the Junior FC men's team has never won the Copa del Rey trophy.
“
"This is the year to have a good cup run. We are very eager and will prepare the competition thoroughly. We hope to achieve the first step of reaching the semi-finals and then we will try to fight for the title."
Hosting the tournament at the Junior FC facilities is part of the celebration of the hockey section's 100th anniversary. Santi Deó, President of the Spanish Hockey Federation, praised Junior FC for proving to be a “benchmark over these 100 years.” The event will also feature the 4th edition of the Spanish Hockey Plus Championship, promoting inclusion with over 20 teams of players with functional diversity.
