Junior FC secures bronze medal at Spanish Indoor Hockey Championship

The Junior FC men's first team, coached by Fede González, won the bronze medal at the Spanish Indoor Hockey Championship last Sunday in Galicia, defeating Atlètic Terrassa.

The match for third and fourth place in the Spanish Indoor Hockey Championship pitted two Catalan teams, Junior FC and Atlètic Terrassa, resulting in a narrow victory for the Sant Cugat side. The duel, held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, ended 2-2 in regular time, forcing a shoot-out.
The game was highly balanced. After a scoreless first quarter, Atlètic Terrassa took the lead in the second period thanks to a goal by Maxim Florit. However, Junior reacted before halftime with the equalizer scored by Aleix Bozal.
After the break, the team from Terrassa regained the advantage with a goal from Joaquim Malgosa in the third quarter. The squad led by Fede González maintained pressure and achieved the definitive tie late in the game, thanks to a penalty corner converted by Oriol Serrahima.
The resolution came down to the shoot-outs, where Junior FC proved more accurate, winning 2-3. The decisive goals were scored by Oriol Salvador, Albert Serrahima, and Nicolau Mustaros. This bronze medal provides significant momentum for the team before competing in the European Championship to be held in Sant Cugat next week.
