The Festa Major de Terrassa will take place under an intense heat episode affecting the entire Vallès Occidental region, with temperatures expected to rise above seasonal averages.

Weather forecasts indicate dry conditions and very high temperatures, especially during the middle of the day. Meteorological services warn that thermometers will record values between 5 and 8 degrees higher than the climatic average for this time of year, a trend that will persist in both daytime highs and nighttime temperatures, which are expected to be warm and humid.
In Terrassa, temperatures could reach 35 degrees on Sunday and Monday. This extreme heat dynamic will extend to neighboring municipalities such as Matadepera, Viladecavalls, Vacarisses, and Castellbisbal, where highs will range between 33 and 36 degrees depending on the day.
Given this scenario, authorities recommend taking extreme precautions: maintain constant hydration, use sun protection, and avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours to prevent heatstroke or sunstroke.
The Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya notes that, following a hot month of June, the current dynamic does not foresee significant changes in the short term. Looking ahead to next week, it is possible that temperatures may continue to rise, which could lead to the activation of new heat warnings in the region.
