The Government of the Generalitat has announced the winners of the National Communication Awards 2025, recognizing excellence in the sector with prominent names such as RAC1, 3Cat, and journalist Esther Vera.

These awards, considered the highest recognition in the communication field in Catalonia, have also honored Justo Molinero, RTVE Catalunya, and the Diari de Sabadell. The awards ceremony will take place on May 19 at the Teatre Principal de Sabadell, consolidating the decentralization initiated the previous year.
Among the awardees, Justo Molinero received the Honorary Award for his career leading Radio Tele Taxi. In the radio sector, RAC1 was recognized for surpassing one million daily listeners, while RTVE Catalunya was distinguished for its more than six decades of broadcasts in Catalan and its contribution to the audiovisual sector.
The 3Cat platform was awarded in the digital sphere for its adaptation to new audiovisual consumption habits. Journalist Esther Vera received the press award for her role in consolidating Diari ARA as a leading publication. The Diari de Sabadell shared the proximity award with the program Hospital de proximitat, a co-production by TV Mataró and the Xarxa Audiovisual Local.
Additionally, Banc Sabadell was recognized for its communication strategy during BBVA's takeover bid. The National Communication Awards were established in 1999 and have evolved to adapt to changes in the sector, with a recent reformulation on March 4, 2025, establishing the current structure of seven categories.
The celebration in Sabadell is the second consecutive one outside Barcelona, following last year's event in Tarragona. The Government has already announced that the 2027 edition will be held in Lleida, reinforcing the commitment to bring these recognitions across the Catalan territory.
