The Minyons de Terrassa elected their new leadership this Saturday at Cal Reig, confirming Mireia Bautista as president and re-electing Bru Busom as Cap de Colla for the next two years.

The assembly of the Minyons de Terrassa, held at Cal Reig, served to determine the new board of directors, taking over from the previous leadership led by Jaume Maeso. Mireia Bautista's candidacy was the only one presented and received broad support from the members, securing 175 favorable votes to lead the 'malva' group.

"Many people from the group came looking for me to form this candidacy with our own ideas"

The new board’s project, although mandates last two years, is planned for the long term. Bautista highlighted the need to start planning the 50th anniversary of the Minyons, which will take place in four years. Furthermore, the new president stressed the desire to expand the group's presence throughout the city, aiming for “Terrassa to be 'minyona' and for the Minyons to be Terrassa,” with a strong emphasis on cultural inclusion.

"We believe that the reality of the city is different, and the Minyons, as a mini-society that we are, want this to be reflected in us and to incorporate all these people"

In a second vote, Bru Busom was re-elected as Cap de Colla (Team Leader), a role he resumes after his initial resignation due to a lack of legitimacy. This time, Busom obtained 121 favorable votes (compared to 94 in the first vote), with 40 against and 21 blank. The new Cap de Colla admitted that his goal is to improve internal relations and guide the group to surpass last season's performance level.

"We are happy because [the vote] was much more massive, and more people came to support us and believe we are a good option"
