A multi-vehicle accident involving four trucks on the AP-7, near El Papiol heading south, caused traffic jams exceeding eleven kilometers this Wednesday, January 21, affecting Sant Cugat.

The accident was registered around seven in the morning on Wednesday, January 21, within the municipality of El Papiol (Baix Llobregat), although the consequences were mainly felt near Sant Cugat del Vallès. The incident was a rear-end collision involving four heavy goods vehicles.
Although no injuries were reported, the incident initially forced the closure of two lanes of the motorway heading towards Tarragona (south). This caused congestion to exceed eleven kilometers in length, leading to another morning of collapse on the major road.

A rear-end collision involving four trucks on the AP-7 in El Papiol heading towards Tarragona forces the closure of one lane and causes 8.5 km of congestion.

The traffic chaos was persistent; past one o'clock in the afternoon, Trànsit authorities confirmed that significant residual congestion remained. This episode follows a similar incident the previous Monday, when another accident on the same route generated queues exceeding 18 kilometers, highlighting the fragility of mobility on the AP-7.
