The Rodalies rail service suffered multiple interruptions on the morning of Monday, January 26, due to a technical incident at the Adif Centralized Traffic Control Center, affecting thousands of commuters.

The chaos on Rodalies began early on the morning of Monday, January 26, despite prior information suggesting normal service. Between six and eight, two cuts were registered, halting trains due to an incident at Adif's Centralized Traffic Control Center.

"It is as if all traffic lights in Barcelona turn red; you stop circulation for safety."

Antonio Carmona · Renfe Spokesperson
Although activity resumed shortly before nine with delays, the situation quickly worsened again. At 9:15 AM, the service was interrupted once more, leaving users stranded on platforms at key stations such as Plaça d'Espanya and Sabadell Centre.
The Renfe spokesperson, Antonio Carmona, explained that the halt occurs for safety when there is a failure at the control center that Adif operates at Estació de França. He apologized to passengers and guaranteed “work, work and work” from the teams. Many users opted to use Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) as an alternative to avoid unexpected setbacks.
