The People's Party (PP) municipal group will submit a motion to the Sabadell City Council to strengthen neighborhood commercial hubs facing rising costs and e-commerce competition.

Spokesperson Cuca Santos emphasized that local commerce is vital for social cohesion and the city's economy. The motion warns of 'commercial desertification' in certain areas if concrete actions are not taken to support small business owners.

"Defending local commerce is defending the city model we want: a Sabadell with lively neighborhoods."

Key proposals include enhancing the Visit Sabadell platform with a commercial map, improving parking management, and adjusting waste taxes to reflect actual usage. The party also seeks to establish a permanent dialogue between the City Council and local business associations.
