Protest in front of a school in Sabadell

Approximately fifty people gathered in front of the Joan Sallarès i Pla institute school in Sabadell on May 6, 2026, to express their rejection of the presence of a Mossos d'Esquadra officer at the educational center.

The mobilization, organized by the Assemblea Educativa de Sabadell, took place in front of the only center in Vallès Occidental included in the Generalitat's pilot plan. Protesters voiced their opposition to the measure, arguing that educational issues should be addressed by allocating more professional resources for student support, rather than introducing police forces into classrooms.
According to the collective, police presence can lead to the stigmatization of the center and the targeting of students. The concentration began at 8:00 AM at the secondary school entrance, where a manifesto was read. Half an hour later, participants moved to the primary school entrance, coinciding with the reception hours.
The management of the educational center declined to comment on the pilot plan implemented by the regional administration.
