Around a hundred families, teachers, and educational community representatives gathered on Monday afternoon in front of the Territorial Services of Education of Vallès Occidental, in Sabadell, to protest against line reductions, class sizes, and in defense of inclusive education.

During the mobilization, participants displayed banners and chanted slogans in favor of public schools. The protest concluded with a traffic disruption on Gran Via de Sabadell. The gathering particularly highlighted families from Terrassa and Sant Quirze del Vallès, municipalities directly affected by the planned closure of school lines for the upcoming academic year.
"We have been mobilizing for a long time," explained a teacher from the Marta Mata school in Barberà del Vallès. "What we are asking for, above all, are better conditions for our children and adolescents so they can have a quality education. We don't have enough staff to cater to diversity," she lamented.

"Our children deserve the best education, and we want them to listen to us, to meet with us, and to talk with us."

Similarly, representatives from the Les Fontetes and Xarau schools in Cerdanyola del Vallès demanded more resources for public centers. The families also showed their support for the teachers' demands, stating that "it is the same fight." The protest took place one day before the Department of Education is set to release the definitive lists of groups for the 2025-2026 academic year.
