The Coordinator of Entities for Public Healthcare in Rubí organized a talk last week at the Mestre Martí Tauler Municipal Library to denounce structural problems within the healthcare system, including the mental health crisis.

The debate on public healthcare in Rubí remains active, driven by the Coordinator of Entities for Public Healthcare in Rubí, which includes about fifty groups. Recently, the construction of the High Resolution Center (CAR) has intensified the conversation, although the entity advocates for a broader perspective on the system.

"The coordinator includes entities of all kinds, from political groups to cultural, social, or sports organizations; it is an issue that interests and concerns everyone."

A key point of the discussion was mental health care. Clàudia Woisky, a member of the platform for families affected by the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center (CSMIJ), highlighted endless waiting lists and the shortage of professionals affecting the sector.

"Many families are forced to go private and feel neglected. In four days, these children will be adults who have not received the necessary attention."

Although the future of the Rubí CAR dominates media attention, the Coordinator stresses the importance of addressing structural issues like reducing waiting lists and fighting privatizations. To bring these demands to the streets, they are preparing a demonstration for February 14.
