For over four decades, the Banc Sabadell Company of the Year Awards have become a key event in the economic calendar of Catalonia since their creation in 1980. These awards aim to highlight organizations that contribute to building a more prosperous, innovative, and cohesive society, serving as a showcase for business talent.
The selection process is rigorous and transparent. Candidates, proposed by EL PERIÓDICO, must be companies active in Catalonia. An expert jury evaluated the merits on January 26, establishing the winners by simple majority. Jury members included figures such as Joan Romero, executive director of Acció; Aitor Moll and Sergi Guillot, from Prensa Ibérica; and Xavier Comerma, deputy general director of Banc Sabadell.
The evaluation criteria go beyond economic results, emphasizing the contribution of value to society. Aspects such as technological innovation, internationalization, environmental sustainability, digital transformation, and social commitment were considered. The awards ceremony, which is honorary and does not include economic endowment, will take place at the Palauet Casades in Barcelona.
The main category is the Banc Sabadell Company of the Year Award, which distinguishes a company for its solid trajectory and role as an industrial benchmark. The Entrepreneur of the Year Award is also presented, recognizing the leadership and strategic vision of a prominent executive. Additionally, there are awards for family businesses, sustainability, international projection, and the Best Emerging Company of the Year, the latter decided by popular vote.
