Starting today, August 24th, residents of Sant Quirze del Vallès can register for the various sports events organized for the Festa Major. The registration period will remain open until September 3rd.
On the morning of Saturday, September 5th, a sports morning will take place with several activities requiring prior registration. These include tournaments for Table Tennis, 3x3 Basketball, 3x3 Handball, 4x4 Volleyball, 3x3 Football, as well as a Crossfit training session. Each activity has its own online registration form.
In the afternoon of the same Saturday, September 5th, a rapid chess tournament will be held. Games will be played with a time control of 5 minutes plus a 3-second increment per move, following the Swiss system for 7 rounds. Registration costs €10 for adults and €5 for those born in 2008 or later. The tournament will feature trophies and prizes for various age and overall categories.
The Popular Race will take place on Sunday, September 6th, starting at Pau Casals Avenue. There will be different categories based on birth year, with staggered start times from 9:30 AM to 11:10 AM. Distances will range from 800m for the youngest categories to 5km for the older ones.
Registration for the Popular Race can be done online until September 3rd. In-person registration will also be available on Saturday, September 5th, at the Parc de les Morisques, and on the race day itself from 8 AM to 9 AM at the start area, behind the Sant Quirze del Vallès Town Hall.
Race bibs can be collected on Saturday, September 5th, at the Parc de les Morisques, during morning and afternoon hours, or on the race day at the start area from 8 AM. All children's categories (A, B, and C) will receive a medal, while the top three finishers in categories D, E, and F (male and female) will receive trophies.
