The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service at Parc Taulí has consolidated its hybrid rehabilitation programs, combining in-person care with telematic tools to offer personalized treatments.

Precision medicine, based on genomics and individual characteristics, drives new therapeutic approaches. In this vein, the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service at Parc Taulí, located in Sabadell, has implemented hybrid rehabilitation programs for the past two years. These programs combine in-person care with remote services, utilizing the therapeutic platform ReHub®.
This tool allows healthcare professionals to create personalized exercise programs and monitor the user's physical therapy progress. The platform analyzes over 70 body points, assessing range of motion, speed, and repetition of movements, enabling real-time corrections. It also facilitates communication between healthcare professionals (doctors, physiotherapists, speech therapists, or occupational therapists) and patients through video calls and other communication tools.

"The tool used analyzes over 70 body points, evaluates range of motion, speed, and repetition of the gesture through precise monitoring, and allows the user to correct or modify incorrect movements in real time."

Lídia Garrido · Physiotherapist of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

"Tele-rehabilitation does not completely replace in-person rehabilitation, but it is a very valuable complement, especially for oncological patients, among others, as it improves treatment continuity and accessibility, saves travel, and promotes self-care and user empowerment."

Dr. Nanda Caballero · Director of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service
To access remote rehabilitation, patients must meet psychosocial and digital literacy criteria. Currently, this modality is primarily applied to users with sequelae from head and neck cancer, addressing pain, limitations in cervical and shoulder mobility, swallowing difficulties, and physical deconditioning. Over the two years of implementation, adherence to the program has been 84%, with users highlighting the platform's flexibility and intuitive use.
