The works, which have an investment of 250,000 euros, will be carried out in phases to avoid interrupting regular service for users. The project focuses on the complete renovation of the lobby, including replacing flooring and installing new access turnstiles and self-service ticket machines.
The project also includes improving routes for people with reduced mobility, installing handrails on ramps, and replacing entrance doors with automatic systems. In addition, walls and damaged elements will be repaired to improve the space.
A key point of the intervention is the modernization of lighting and ceilings, both inside and outside the facility. This measure responds to requests from travelers who use the station at night and had expressed concerns about the lack of light.
Finally, all wiring and electrical installations will be updated to ensure service reliability. These improvements come in a context marked by recent incidents on the Rodalies network and disruptions caused by strikes on the R4 line.
