The ‘Roda Barris’ caravan has begun its tour through Terrassa, offering mobile employment and job guidance services in neighborhoods with the greatest social and labor needs.

The initiative, promoted by Foment de Terrassa within the framework of the Treball als Barris program, aims to bring job insertion resources closer to citizens. The official launch took place last Tuesday, June 2nd, at Plaça de Can Palet, in front of the Centre Cívic Alcalde Morera, attended by the Councilor for Employment, Montserrat Caupena.
According to sources from the City Council, ‘Roda Barris’ aims to “facilitate access to guidance and job insertion resources through a mobile service point that will travel to different areas of the city”. This initiative seeks “more personalized attention for users, removing access barriers and promoting equal opportunities”.
The caravan will offer guidance, advice, training, and information tailored to the job market. This includes individual and group support in job searching, preventive actions for young people such as the Esport als Barris project, and initiatives to connect with the business community to facilitate the hiring of vulnerable individuals.
A notable aspect of the project is the refurbishment of the caravan itself, carried out with the participation of training programs. Students from the Tallers d’Ocupació (Employment Workshops) contributed to its adaptation, while the signage was created by the Talent Jove project.
The Terrassa City Council is thus committed to “an innovative and community-based public employment model, strengthening network collaboration and placing people at the center of action”. After its stop at Plaça de Can Palet, the caravan will begin an itinerant route through various participating neighborhoods, in coordination with local entities.
