The R8 railway line has officially resumed passenger services between Rubí - Can Vallhonrat and Granollers this morning, following a month-long disruption caused by a tunnel landslide.

While the connection to Granollers is now active, Rodalies confirmed that the stretch between Rubí and Martorell will continue to be served by an alternative bus service until further notice.
Freight traffic had already been restored on February 5 after pressure from Pimec and the Port of Barcelona regarding the economic impact on trade routes to France. The Spanish Government managed the repairs as an emergency intervention to stabilize the infrastructure.
