The Saturday of the Rubí Summer Festival was marked by the massive 'Ballada de Gitanes' (Gypsy Dance) in the street, an event that this year surpassed all attendance expectations and was dedicated as a tribute to the recently deceased Albert Sans. The local outlet El TOT Rubí has captured unique images of this celebration.
The day was filled with music and diverse activities. The city's squares hosted concerts of various styles, while the Summer Market and the Crafts Exhibition opened their doors. The amusement fair and the Rambla del Joc i l'Aventura (Games and Adventure Street) completed the leisure offerings, alongside sports demonstrations such as boxing, roller hockey, and chess.
The Human Towers Day ('Diada Castellera') by the Escarlats de Rubí was also one of the day's highlights. In parallel, the Vallhonrat Ethnographic Museum offered a special visit focused on the erotic ethnography of its collection.
The human towers event began at 5 PM with a parade from Plaça Onze de Setembre to the Plaça de l'Ajuntament (Town Hall Square). There, an hour later, the Castellers de Rubí performed accompanied by Laietans de Gramenet, Vailets de Gelida, Xiqüelos i Xiqüeles del Delta, and Xiquets de Flix. The group celebrated completing the 'pilar de 4 caminat' (a type of human tower), two 6-level towers (the 3 de 6 and the 4 de 6), and a '4 de 6 de germanor' (brotherhood tower) with the invited groups.
The concert by Els Pets at the amphitheater of Parc del Castell was the musical highlight, filling the space with energy and nostalgia. At Escardívol, the party continued until dawn with performances by Despistaos, Aquellos Años Locos, and Versión Imposible.
