The main objective of this intervention is to repair structural elements and renew the waterproofing system to ensure the safety and conservation of the facility.
Preliminary work, which began on June 22nd with inspections and technical tests, has now led to the main construction phase. This new stage will require expanding the occupied space, affecting mobility.
Starting July 21st, Sant Sebastià street will be closed to traffic in the section crossing the square, a restriction that will remain until the end of the year. Alternative routes have been planned for residents and the educational community of Regina Carmeli, recommending the use of nearby parking facilities such as Escardívol or Can Fatjó.
To access Sant Sebastià street (between Llobateras and José Torrijos streets), vehicle license plates must be communicated to [espaipublic@ajrubi.cat](mailto:espaipublic@ajrubi.cat). For students with special educational needs, temporary authorization can be requested from [illa@ajrubi.cat](mailto:illa@ajrubi.cat).
An accessible pedestrian passage of at least 1.80 meters wide will be guaranteed on the west side of the square.
Commercial logistics will also be affected. Access to the loading and unloading zone of Sant Joan street will be via other routes, respecting authorized hours (Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 11 AM and 3 PM to 4 PM, and Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 11 AM) to avoid penalties.
