The first 2026 program focuses on combating ageism, which is discrimination based on age. Reflection activities include the talk “How to combat ageism towards older people” on Friday, March 13, and the travelling exhibition “Ageism zero,” displayed at the Biblioteca Mestre Martí Tauler between April 27 and May 11.
A notable addition is the incorporation of the Casino, recently recovered as a cultural facility, which will host the “Musical Bingo – What an atmosphere!” on May 8. This recreational activity, combining music and dance, costs 5 €; tickets can be purchased at the Teatre Municipal La Sala or online.
The program also features a wide range of free activities focused on well-being, health, creativity, and digital culture. Workshops are offered on acrylic painting, mobile phone usage, introduction to ChatGPT, film criticism, and theatrical interpretation.
In the physical and emotional sphere, highlights include the course “Project yourself: designing the life I want,” aimed at the transition to retirement, and physical activity sessions like “Get active dancing” at the Centre Cívic de Ca n’Oriol. Furthermore, the popular walks around Rubí start on March 5, structured into three limited-capacity blocks.
